Grief Awareness Day

Thursday, November 15th is Grief Awareness Day.  Please see the attached flyer (click "Read More") for details.  Your child will be going home with this flyer on Monday as well.

1st Grade Has Fun With Pumpkins!

Ms. DeTorre and Ms. Simpson's first grade classes celebrated pumpkins! Parents were invited to interact with the students to work on different pumpkin centers that included math, writing, science, and taste testing! It was a fun filled afternoon learning about pumpkins!

Wilkins Primary Celebrates Unity Day

On Wednesday October 24th, students at Wilkins Primary gathered together to celebrate Unity Day.  The purpose of this day was to emphasize our 5 P behavior (prompt, prepared, polite, productive, proud) and how they relate to our everyday lives.  School behavior and being kind were also addressed.  Classes particpated with songs, chants, and readings.  We even had guest speakers from the high school.  Thanks to Ms. Miller for organizing and MCing this important day.

PowerSchool Unified Classroom Parent Portal

Fire Trucks and Chuck E Cheese visit Wilkins Primary

Wilkins Primary was visited by the Wilkins Township Fire Department on Thursday.  Students got to talk with the fire fighters, see their equipment, and of course, check out their trucks!  Also, we were visited by Mr. Chuck E. Cheese himself who was here to promote our upcoming Chuck E Cheese fundraiser.  The students were thrilled to see the big mouse!!  

Wolverine Spirit Award Winners from Wilkins Primary

This month Wilkins students, Linc Ensley  and Chelsea Marquez were recognized at the school board meeting as the Wolverine Spirit Award winners.  Linc was nominated by his teacher, Ms. DeTorre and Chelsea was nominated by her teacher, Ms. Wilson.  Both students were honored for being positive classmates, hard workers, polite students who start and end end every day with a smile and kind word.  Wilkins is thrilled to have Linc and Chelsea as the Spirit Winners and members of our school family!  Click "Read More" for pictures of our winners.

i-Ready at Home

For the past year, your students have been using a program called iReady for online diagnostic and instruction in math and reading.  The program requires students to use the online instruction 45min per week for math (we have other reading programs in practice so reading is not mandatory).  While your child's teacher is using the program in the classroom, you have full access to the program at home as well.  Click "Read More" for login information and links.

2018-2019 WHSD Building Start Times Start Times

The start time for the Jr/SR High School is 20 minutes later to ensure the safety and welfare of our students traveling to school at such an early hour.  The other buildings will be 15 minutes later to accommodate the bus schedules.  The Rankin Promise School will remain on their current schedule.  CLICK HERE to see the details.
