Registering your child is often the first step in a successful academic experience! It involves some time and paperwork. We want to help make the process go smoothly so please bring all the needed documents with you at the time of registration.

Kindergarten registration for residents is done in the spring at the primary schools. Students new to the district should contact the Central Registration Office, 412-731-1300 x 0130, at the Administration Building on Greensburg Pike. Children must be 5 years of age by September 1st of the year they plan to start school.

The Staff of the Central Registration Office is here to assist you with the registration process for your child(ren). There are a number of documents we will need to receive from you to establish residency within our District, as well as requirements for your child(ren) before entering school. They are highlighted below:

They must have all updated shots, including Hepatitis B, two doses of MMR, and a dose of the varicella (chickenpox) vaccine. (More Information) Please remember that Immunization records will be reviewed by building nurse for required updates prior to child(ren) starting school.
