WHHS Band Wins Competition
The WHHS Marching Band and Images scored a 77.25 to place first over the Upper St. Clair Marching Band, who scored a 66.75, in class 4-Open at the Tournament of Bands Competition this past Saturday, October 6, hosted by Baldwin High School.  Drum majors Joseph Strednak and Kristina Lewis won the Best Drum Major(s) caption award in class 4-Open as well.  

The band and Images also took first place at the Steel Valley Tournament of Bands competition on September 22 with a score of 72.40.

The final competition of the season will be the Tournament of Bands Chapter XIII Championships, which will take place at Elizabeth Forward High School on Saturday, October 20.  The WHHS Marching Band and Images are scheduled to perform in class 4-Open competition at 4:45pm.  

The Marching Band and Images’ 2012-2013 show is entitled “A Video Game Experience.” It features music from the video games Halo, Advent Rising, Tetris, Angry Birds, and Kingdom Hearts.

Congratulations to all of the hardworking members of the band and Images!  We’re proud of you!  Keep up the good work!
