Girls Engineering in Middle School Day GEM
The University of Pittsburgh is planning a free, fun day of education about the different fields of engineering for girls, grades 6 thru 8th grade.
WHI Book Club Field Trip

The Woodland Hills Intermediate Book Club enjoyed a discussion with Newberry Award winning author Erin Entrada Kelly at the Carnegie Library Lecture Hall.  After reading the popular book Hello Universe,  students were able to submit their most burning questions to be answered during this enlightening question and answer session.

Please enjoy a special holiday edition of the WH "Eye" News.  Our Media Club really enjoyed producing it.  The WHI Staff were good sports as well!

Holiday Dress-up Day

The Intermediate Students donned their holiday best as part of a themed-filled week.

Wolverine Code-a-Thon 2018

Woodland Hills Elementary Students wrapped-up Computer Science Week with the Wolverine Code-a-Thon.  Kindergarten through sixth grade students created, modified, and debugged computer code for an entire school day.  They programmed and choreographed virtual dancers, solved coding puzzles, re-created Minecraft Worlds and published original Google Doodles with Scratch.

Free Little Library Project

Woodland Hills Intermediate Sixth Grade Students have been working hard in the MakerSpace building free little libraries.  These libraries will be stocked with books to borrow and be located throughout the Woodland Hills Communities.

Through the generosity of the Penguins Foundation and the United Way, Woodland Hills Elementary students enjoyed watching an open practice session at PPG Paints Arena.

2018-2019 WHSD Building Start Times Start Times

The start time for the Jr/SR High School is 20 minutes later to ensure the safety and welfare of our students traveling to school at such an early hour.  The other buildings will be 15 minutes later to accommodate the bus schedules.  The Rankin Promise School will remain on their current schedule.  CLICK HERE to see the details.
