Principal's Message

Administrator

Dear Edgewood Families,

It is my pleasure to introduce myself as principal of Edgewood STEAM Academy. I am very excited for the upcoming school year. I feel fortunate to be able to be a part of this school community and be able to work to support the students, staff and families of our school.

This is the start of my 17th year in education- all of which are here in the Woodland Hills School district. My career started here at Edgewood, where I taught 3rd grade for 8 years. In 2010, I became an assistant principal at what was Fairless Elementary. In years to follow, I was the assistant principal at both Fairless Elementary and Woodland Hills Academy. In May of 2016, I took over as principal of Woodland Hills Academy and spent the last 6 years in that building.

The Edgewood STEAM Academy is a Pre-kindergarten through fifth grade building. In addition to ELA (English Language Arts), Math, Science and Social Studies, students will be exposed to art, music, physical education, library, Spanish and technology. We will continue to follow the 5 P’s- Prompt, Productive, Polite, Prepared and Proud.

I am excited to return to the building that sparked my love for education and helped make me the educator I am today. I am ready to help your child reach their fullest potential. Together we will support and move our students forward.

I look forward to meeting all of you and to a great 2019-2020 school year.

Sincerely,

Ms. Kelly Mann
