Welcome to Life Skills! My name is Mrs. West and I earned my Bachelor's degree in Inclusive Elementary and Special Education from Syracuse University and my Master's degree in Special Education from Duquesne University. I started my teaching career at Pace School, where I worked with students in Emotional and Autistic Support for three years. I began my career at Woodland Hills teaching Emotional Support at Fairless and then moved to Life Skills Support at Edgewood, where it is my fourth year.
In Life Skills Support, I work with students on individualized IEP goals that will enable them to become successful readers and mathematicians. We also work on basic school skills such as following school and classroom routines and getting along with peers.
Please feel free to email me with any questions!
