Welcome to my online classroom!
I am a graduate of Duquesne University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education (K-6) and a Masters in Special Education (K-12).
I have worked for the Woodland Hills School District since 2005 in both Autistic Support and Learning Support, with grades Kindergarten through Sixth.
With the help of my fantastic paraprofessionals, we create fun learning experiences that the students remember for years to come!
Please take a look below at the wonderful work being created by our students.
Every morning we sit for calendar time. We discuss the month, date, year, and the days of the week. We also talk about the weather and sing our song about the seasons.
After singing about the seasons, we talk about the importance of "being a friend", and we take a moment to talk with our friends about fun times we have had recently.
Our Monster Shape Math! Learn shapes in a new and exciting way!
Every day we review our alphabet, identify a new alphabet letter, write the letter, say the sound, and create a design to match the beginning sound!
For Election Day, we read two stories, Duck for President and Teacher for President. We talked about what we think makes a great President and then voted for the candidate that we wanted to be President of our classroom! We created a voting booth and ballot box, as well as registration cards. Take a look!
Our writing assignment about what we are thankful for, laminated in to a beautiful Thanksgiving place mat!
