A Place Where All Children Can Learn...
Welcome to Room 107! I look forward to working with my students in the months ahead. My goal is provide children with ample opportunities to believe in their ability to learn and be a contributing member of society. Based on my previous teaching experience and practices, I bring to the classroom a wealth of strategies and techniques to enhance learning experiences and organizational skills.
This is my twelth year in the Woodland Hills School District teaching Autistic Support. This year I have have 2nd grade. I am a 2008 graduate of Bethany College in Bethany, WV. While attending Bethany I studied Elementary Education and Special Education with a focus in Autism. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, and our dog.
Please check my Unified Classroom page for specific skills we have been working on in class, upcoming assignments or tests, and any enrichment activities that you may use to reinforce learning at home. I feel it is important to keep parents abreast of what children are learning and keeping the lines of communication open. Do not hesitate to contact me by either phone (412) 824-3231 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns that arise, and I will be happy to assist in any manner that I can.
Here is to the journey of learning and celebrating the continuing accomplishments of all children! Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to work with a most precious possession--your child.
