• Alert:

Good afternoon Woodland Hills Staff and families,

This morning the District was informed that a building administrator has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus at the Turtle Creek Steam Academy.  Out of an abundance of caution the Turtle Creek Steam Academy will be closed immediately and all activity within the building stopped.  No Turtle Creek Academy employees are to report to work.  All instruction will be moved to virtual and teachers are expected to teach remotely from outside the building (home).    Building staff and students should take all necessary steps to remain healthy and safe.  Testing and self-quarantining is highly recommended.   The entire Turtle Creek School building will be closed 10/17 to 10/23.  All questions should be directed to Principal Dr. Livingston.

    Stay safe,

Safety in Woodland Hills Schools

Over the past several years, the Woodland hills School District has taken many steps to help improve the safety and security of the students and staff in all of our buildings. In addition to the Churchill Police Officer that we have in our High School throughout the day, we utilize the Raptor Visitor Management system for all guests, and we engage all visitors prior to allowing them entrance into the building using video phones in all of our schools. Planned and surprise drills are completed throughout the school year on both evacuation and lock-down procedures so that our staff is familiar with the plan and ready to act in the event of an emergency. On an ongoing basis, our safety plans evolve as we examine past events in other districts and work to improve our procedures. We continually review and test our safety plan and processes to ensure that we are enacting the most up-to-date safety and security efforts.
