On Thursday, January 28, students in the high school's book club participated in a virtual visit with New York Times bestselling author Laurie Halse Anderson. This visit was made possible through our partnership with Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures and their Authors to Schools program.
To prepare for this visit, the book club read and discussed Ms. Anderson's memoir SHOUT, copies of this book were provided for our students by Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures. Woodland Hills was one of the schools selected for this program and our students, freshman Grace Moon and senior Abrielle Kautza, participated in a Q&A with Ms. Anderson. They asked thoughtful questions about her books and career.
