  • Woodland Hills Junior Senior High School is committed to providing a quality education for each and every child in a creative and safe environment. We believe that parental involvement is an integral part of the student's academic success, and it is essential to create a strong home/school partnership.

  • Parental involvement means the participation of parents in regular, two-way, and meaningful communication involving student academic learning and other school activities, including ensuring

    • (A) that parents play an integral role in assisting their child's learning;

    • (B) that parents are encouraged to be actively involved in their child's education at school;

    • (C) that parents are full partners in their child's education and are included, as appropriate, in decision-making and on advisory committees to assist in the education of their child;

    • (D) the carrying out of other activities, such as those described in section 1118 of the ESEA.

  • Parents will also be integral in school reviews and school improvement procedures.

  • Title I parents will participate in the development of any school wide plan to improve academic achievement

  • Title I parents will serve on committees for any Title I revision work and for district strategic planning.

Home/School Compact

Education is a joint responsibility of the school and the home.  To insure that the interests of each are served, it is important that we develop and maintain a program of communication and cooperation between the home and the school.  This agreement is a first step in that program.
