Message to the Community from Superintendent Dr. Joe Maluchnik

To Our Woodland Hills Families and Community,

We want to begin by expressing our sincere hope that you and your loved ones are safe in the aftermath of Tuesday’s storms. We know these past few days have been difficult for many, and we recognize that some members of our community are still without power, water, or internet access.

Please know that we are here to support you. If your family is facing any of these challenges, we encourage you to reach out to your child’s school counselor, nurse, or building administrator. Our community has a wealth of resources available for those in need and we will do our best to share information about accessing those resources as recovery efforts continue. In addition, if there is anything my office can do to assist our families during this time, please do not hesitate to reach out and email me directly at [email protected].

We fully understand the disruption this week has brought, and we remain mindful of how these circumstances may be affecting your daily lives. Several roads in our area continue to be closed, which has impacted transportation and other essential services. The District continues to closely monitor the situation, including road closures and utility outages, as we make decisions regarding school operations.

Above all, the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority. We deeply appreciate your patience, flexibility, and resilience as we work through these challenges together.

With care and support,

Dr. Joe Maluchnik

Superintendent
