Woodland Hills High School celebrated the Class of 2025 during the 38th Annual Academic Awards and Scholarship Night on Tuesday, May 27. Fifty-three students were recognized as either Distinguished Scholars, High Honors Scholars, or as the recipients of a local scholarship or other award.
The annual event is organized by the guidance office and the Academic Awards and Scholarship Coordinators, which includes Ms. Tracy Weaver, Mr. John Boone, Ms. Jami Heffley, Ms. Takiyah Spivey, Mr. Paul Beard, Mrs. Rebecca Bellows, Ms. Kia Dunn, and Ms. Tammy Blair. Ms. Weaver, Ms. Hefley, and Mr. Boone hosted the evening's festivities, which also included remarks from high school principal Dr. Shelly Manns and district superintendent Dr. Joe Maluchnik.
Distinguished Scholars are those students who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 or higher throughout high school. Nineteen students earned that honor in the Class of 2025: Zacharias Barron, Elizabeth Boone, Lillian Divelbiss, Alana Donolo, Ethan Emter, Elizabeth Geyer, Mariah Helvy, Benjamin Hill, Maxwell Huck, Olivia Hutcherson, Miah Kodman, Lena Laubscher, Mackenna Matthews, Lucy Mihalcin, Anthony Nemanic, Owen Reeder, Tommaso Scuoteguazza, Isabele Wilson, and Giavonna Zinn.
High Honors Scholars are those students who achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher throughout high school. Members of the Class of 2025 who earned that honor include Jackson Augustine, Allegra Alexis Ayitey, Liam Blaney, Isabella Caldwell, Zyear Carter Lane, Jorge Cuba Champi, Helen DeCrosta, Carmella DeVore, Vivian Dimenno, Arianna Gaiter, Colin Halliday-Halvey, Divine Holland, Caitlin Joscak, Tailynn Kemp-Denson, Brandon Marzec, Jada Mitchell, Jacob Mroz, Leila Nestico, Cyntish Nadia Nouemo Teguo Kengne, Maya Pannell, Kyra Sauers, Devin Vanchina, Devin Walker, Oliver Whaley, and Olivia WIlson.
Every year, community organizations, alumni, and other entities provide for scholarships to be awarded to students who meet specific requirements and fill out applications. Those scholarships and awards are then presented to the students during the ceremony. This year, those scholarships include the following:

In addition to the awards given to students during the Academic Awards and Scholarship Night, the Class of 2025 has been offered over $11,646,616 in institutional merit and private scholarships. The Class of 2025 will have its Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, June 5.
