Performing Arts Class Presents "Forbidden Broadway's Greatest Hits" on December 5 and December 6

The Performing Arts Class at Woodland Hills High School is excited to present "Forbidden Broadway's Greatest Hits," a hilarious send-up of Broadway's biggest musical numbers. This cabaret-style revue features creative parodies of some of the most popular musicals, performers, and writers to ever appear on stage.

The show affectionately skewers the emotional performances of heavy hitters like "Wicked" and "Phantom of the Opera," lampoons the intense drama of "Les Miserables" and "Rent," and lovingly pokes fun at the careers of Broadway luminaries like Stephen Sondheim, Liza Minnelli, Carol Channing, and more.

The show is entirely produced by the high school performing arts classes, with students handling costumes, props, stage directions, and more. The revue has no set roles, and performers appear off and on throughout the show.

The cast includes several students making their on-stage debut - Keonna Cupid, Mariah Floyd, and D'Naya Louis. It also includes seniors Alexia Abernathy, Leo Alfieri, Nevaeh Cauley, Calise Cowans, Hayden Crum, Summer Curtright, Olivia Davidson, Isaac Lott, Mackenzie McPherson, Aubrie Moon, Livia Rocco, Zuri Rue, TT Sallie-Nelson, and Adam Steiner.

Underclassmen performers include Elizabeth Ansell, Cayden Bristow, Noelle Brubaker, Ty'Azia Burton, Makhia Dawkins, Luke DeVore, Caroline Elston, William Ferguson, Samyra Fodop, Richard Master, Adore McFadden, Olivia Safran, Jae Saunders, Cora Spear, and Eleanor Willson.

Try to keep up with the witty lyrics and fast pace of this highly entertaining show!

Tickets are $10 at the door, with showtimes at 7:30 on Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6, with an additional 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, December 6.
