Winter concert opens renovated auditorium at Edgewood

The fifth grade orchestra, choir, and band had the special opportunity to play the first show in the newly renovated auditorium at Edgewood Elementary on Thursday, December 11 as they welcomed family members for their annual winter concert.

With new seating, new lights, fresh paint, and a nice, new look for the holidays, the fifth graders entertained with an impressive range of songs.

The band and orchestra teamed up to open the show with a combined performance of "Hard Rock Blues." The orchestra stayed on stage, and under the direction of Ms. Burgh, performed the spooky "Spiders in My Soup" and the toe-tapping "Jazzy Jingle."

Mr. Benton and the choir took the stage next for a trio of songs, beginning with "The Man with the Bag." Two seasonal tunes followed - "The Joy of Hanukkah" and "That's Christmas to Me."

The band returned to the stage to close the show under the direction of Mrs. Hertrick. They played the fun "St. Nick Salsa" and the energetic "Popcorn Prelude."

Thanks to everyone who helped make the show possible. We hope you enjoyed seeing just how far the fifth graders have come in a few short months. Enjoy some photos from the show!
