Woodland Hills High School and the Woodland Hills School District are thrilled to welcome home proud alumna Lyndsay Tkach of the Wounded Warrior Project as our Class of 2026 Commencement Speaker.
Lyndsay is a mental health and brain injury advocate serving as the Mental Health & Brain Health Services Director at the Wounded Warrior Project. She oversees suicide prevention efforts for more than 250,000 veterans and their families.
Previously, Lyndsay worked as the Deputy Director of the Independence Program at WWP, supporting warriors in their quest to live independently after suffering traumatic injuries. Prior to joining WWP, Lyndsay worked with the Allegheny County Office of Behavioral Health, where her focus was with mental health services for individuals recently discharged from state institutions.
A proud Woodland Hills Alumni and parent, Tkach is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and holds a Master’s degree in Abnormal Psychology from the University of Phoenix. She has a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation with a minor in Sociology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She was honored as Alumni of the Year by the Woodland Hills Foundation in 2023 for her contributions to veteran health and wellness.
Commencement is scheduled for Friday, June 5 at 6 p.m. at the high school soccer field. We are honored and excited to welcome Lyndsay back to Woodland Hills to speak with the Class of 2026!
