Statement from the Woodland Hills School District Board of Directors

The Woodland Hills School District Board of Directors is committed to fostering an open,
transparent, and respectful environment for engaging with our community. We value public
input and believe that strong partnerships with our families and stakeholders are essential to
the success of our students and schools.

In recent weeks, however, there have been instances of disruptive behavior during public
meetings, as well as verbal harassment directed toward Board members and District
administrators following adjournment. Such conduct undermines the spirit of constructive
dialogue and compromises the safety and well-being of those who serve our community.
We want to be clear: respectful engagement is expected from everyone—just as it is expected
of us as Board members. We remain committed to listening, learning, and responding to
community concerns in ways that are productive and aligned with our shared goal of
supporting students.

Out of an abundance of caution, and to ensure the safety of all participants, the Board will hold
its April agenda and legislative meetings in a virtual (Zoom) format while additional safety and
security measures are reviewed and implemented. We appreciate the community’s
understanding and cooperation during this time. There will be no committee meeting in April.
We look forward to continuing meaningful, respectful engagement with all members of the
Woodland Hills community.
